Mad panic, mostly. Plus, moving to a four-panel format helped a lot. My early strips were a lot more complex - by forcing a standard layout I cut my time in half.
It was a trade off, though - you can't fit nearly as much story into four panels...

Good call, Doyle. I fixed the new comic page. Unfortunately, I'm still behind on new issues. How do you manage five a week?
